IWC celebrated its 140 year anniversary with Pilot Watch Vintage Collection that comes in 6 watches belonging to different collections. Though this is not a “rounded” anniversary, the company decided to celebrate it with truly fantastic watches. These watches symbolize the landmarks of the company’s development. The “oldest” watch from this series is the model with manual-wound 98300 caliber (18 jewels, power reserve of 46 hours). This model is a re-make of an IWC Pilot Watch model that was released in 1936

The IWC  Watch Vintage Series does not include copies, in fact IWC never made replicas of its watches. The vintage watches are more like new interpretations of good old watches that were incredibly popular in the past.

The IWC Portuguese Chronograph watch has enjoyed continuous success since the day it was introduced over ten years ago. It has been a long time since we last featured here a timepiece from IWC. After some time of waiting, IWC watches has finally created a new timepiece that is inspired of the Adventure Ecology by David de Rothschild. This new watch is called as IWC Ingenieur Automatic Mission Earth Edition.

This new IWC Ingenieur Automatic Mission Earth Edition is a sporty timepiece that is also elegant to look at. This watch is especially made to endure any type of environment and it is even capable of withstanding extreme magnetic fields. This is made possible by creating this watch with a polished stainless steel case that has a soft iron inner case in it. This material can be found on the case and bezel of this watch which they paired with a blue rubber strap. The watch also includes a blue patterned dial which is accented with orange highlights found on the luminescent coated hour markers and hands. Aside from the time indicator on the center, this watch also includes a date indicator found on the small window at 3 o’clock.

Two IWC watches hit the big screen in a large-scale Universal Pictures feature movie "Miami Vice". The movie directed by Michael Mann stars universally-famous actors - Jamie Foxx, Colin Farrell, Naomie Harris, and Gong Li.

The Miami Vice creators wanted to liberate what is dangerous yet tempting about working deeply undercover. The IWC watches are used in the movie as the reflection of the new modern style of Miami and Miami Vice.
