
A new Swiss watch brand is to be launched, according to reports.
A new Swiss watch brand is to be launched in conjunction with Tiffany's, it has emerged.Swatch, the owner of a variety of designer timepiece lines, including Calvin Klein watches, Tissot, Omega and Longnines watches, has announced it is to team up with the US jewellery firm to create new opulent items.
The luxury watches will be priced at between £2,000 and £5,000 each, according to the Guardian.
Arlette-Else Emch, board director and president of the firm, explained that this will be a market for women's watches.
"I think it is a feminine brand," she said.
"It is something that is much more linked to jewellery. It will be a perfect gift from a man to a woman. It will be a pleasure to receive a Tiffany watch."
Those who purchase Swiss watches may want to insure their items if one report is to be believed.
Ben Tyte, business manager for Sainsbury's Home Insurance, recently warned that people underestimate how much their wardrobe is worth.
