Renault have unveiled their car for the 2010 F1 season, with the TW Steel logo featuring prominently. TW Steel has kicked off the F1 season as one of two primary sponsors on the distinctive Renault car. Although the French team is keen to point out it is in discussions with a number of firms about taking over some of the space on its livery, the first pre-season test in Valencia saw all the attention on the Swiss watch brand and oil company Total. Renault will be represented on the grid in the 2010 season by Pole Robert Kubica and the unproven Vitaly Petrov - the first Russian to compete in F1. Dutch luxury watch brand TW Steel may be hoping for some strong performances by the pair, so that the designer timepiece manufacturer's name is seen on the podium more often than it was in 2009, when Fernando Alonso's third place in Singapore was its only time on the winner's row. TW Steel was founded in 2005 by Jordy Cobelens and specialises in large and oversized designer watches. |
